The Africa Tech Summit brought a week of peer exchange, investor dialogue, and community building in Nairobi to a fitting close. Following SAIStival and the Ag Safari Summit, the majority of our founders stayed on to attend one of Africa’s most established tech conferences, and for good reason.
The day after SAIStival, our navigators and founders gathered at Shamba Events for the AgSafari Summit, a full-day conference bringing together African AgTech founders, investors, ecosystem builders, and sector experts for twelve focused discussions on the most pressing challenges and opportunities in African agriculture.
From 8 to 13 February, Nairobi became the heart of African AgTech innovation as we brought together many people of our SAIS community for SAIStival. So, what is the SAIStival? It is our annual starting point of our Investment Readiness Programme, it is a gathering, designed to connect, inspire and accelerate the founders we are proud to support.
This July, we are proud to announce the winners of the SAIS Female Founder Award 2025. This an initiative by “Scaling digital Agriculture Innovations through Start-ups” (SAIS), a project implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
